Yuchai YC6K12 diesel engine wins two awards

 

On November 13, 2013， YC6K12 engine was awarded the third provincial prize for progress in science and technology by the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province for its advanced technologies and outstanding market performance in the industry. Besides, the "YC6K diesel engine" project predominated by YC6K12 was awarded the second national prize for machinery science and technology by the China Machinery Industry Federation (CMIF) and the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES). The two prizes have laid a solid foundation for Y & C Engine Co., Ltd. (Y & C) to occupy the market in 2014.

YC6K12 diesel engine is a leading engine independently developed by Y & C. With independent intellectual property right, it is far ahead of other similar domestic engines in terms of technical indicators and up to advanced world standards in terms of key indicators such as fuel consumption and specific weight. It applied reliability growth technology in the engine industry for the first time and overcame the weakness of China manufacturing in reliability; the successful innovation and application of technologies like accurate combustion and electronic control, reverse horizontal flow cooling, high-strength material and high-efficiency engine cylinder inside brake have substantially extend the useful life of the engine. Up to Euro VI emission standards, it is a preferentially supported large-power diesel engine in the Plan for Auto Industry Adjustment and Revitalization.

Amid the continuous slump of the heavy-duty truck industry, YC6K12 engine has performed strongly in recent years. Since March 2011, Y & C has launched over 1,000 units of YC6K12 on the market, supplying products to manufacturers like Baotou Beiben, Dongfeng Shenyu, Dongfeng Heavy Industry and C&C Trucks. Applied nationwide, YC6K12 has outperformed other key domestic brands in terms of power, transportation efficiency, maintenance cost, fuel economy and reliability.
